Nash is very affectionate and moderately talkative, especially when he's hungry or wants to have his tummy rubbed. He loves to chase a catnip mouse tied to a piece of string if it is moving quickly. Like most cats, he also loves to stare at dripping faucets and watch the toilet flush. | Nash eats both dry and canned cat food, and loves Alpo Beef and Friskies Sliced Beef. He also likes Alpo Turkey and Giblets, and several flavors of Sheba and Fancy Feast. For treats, I give him Bonkers, a little whipped cream, or the water from a can of tuna. Yum! |
Nash is a very smart cat. He understands the words "sit", "come", "no", "dinnertime", and "circle". We're working on "stay". He also knows how to open closed doors and jump through hoops (an old bicycle tire). He was notified by Educational Communications, Inc., the publishers of Who's Who Among American High School Students and The National Dean's List, in September 1996 that he is among the "1/2 of 1% of students from our nation's 3,000 colleges and universities" who are honored in the 19th edition of The National Dean's List. Nash was so proud of this honor that I ordered a copy of the book, a certificate, and a placque for him. The text of his biography in this publication reads as follows:
KANTROWITZ, NASH, Carnegie Mellon Univ., Pittsburgh, PA; GD; PHD; Vet Med 94-; Cat Lovers Amer 95; Sheba Club 96; Mu Epsilon Omicron Omega 96; Racing/Track 96; Bite/Claw Awd 96; MA Inst Of Tech BS 89; Vet Med.
