Australian Aboriginal Art - Shane Barnes

This painting depicts a devil that kills people who have broken the law, especially in regard to their family. The "U" shapes in the painting represent seated people, both male and female. The small "o" shapes are children. The painting also shows digging sticks (short straight shapes) and windbreaks (longer squiggly shapes). The devil figure is painted with body paint designs and wears a headdress of the type worn in ceremonies.
